About Fortisblades

Eddy Callier is a company that specialises in industrial knives and razor sharp blades for soft and semi-rigid materials. These blades are mostly used in machines. Mr. Callier founded the business 20 years ago. At first he was particularly active in the textile industry. In 1994 the activities were expanded towards other industries: food, packaging, film extrusion and converting, automotive and other areas where reliable razor sharp blades are needed.

In the film and foil industry we witnessed substantial technological advancements. High-speed winding, thinner and lighter film, metallocene catalysts that improve toughness, impact resistance, elasticity, etc. This leads us to develop high tech blades named Fortisblades, razor sharp coated blades.

The Fortisblades are used for slitting different kinds of film. EVA, HDPE, LDPE, LLDPE, PP, PE, mLLDPE …
